Hemkund Sahib, or Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Sahib Ji as it was earlier called, is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in India. The Sanskrit word Hemkund literally
translates to “bowl of ice”, and as the name suggests, this picturesque hill station located at an elevation of 4,632 meters above sea level flaunts a breathtakingly
splendid glacial lake at the heart of it, colloquially referred to as the Lokpal Lake. The shimmering water of the lake acts as the centerpiece of Hemkund Sahib, with
seven snow-covered mountain peaks of the Himalayan ranges encircling its perimeter, each peak crowned with a holy Nishan Sahib. The peaks are collectively referred to
as Hemkund Parvat.
Tour Itinerary
1Day 1 - Haridwar - Pandukeshwar
Morning after breakfast drive to Pandukeshwar enroute visit Rudraprayg, Devprayag. On Arriving Pandukeshwar, Check in Hotel. Overnight stay.
2Day 2 - Pandukeshwar - Ghangaria Treek
Early morning breakfast,There are two famous temples in Pandukeshwar. Yogadhyan Badri Temple, one of 'Sapta Badri' or seven Badri's and other is Lord Vasudev Temple.
After Exploring Pandukeshwar drive to Ghangaria. Overnight stay.
3Day 3 - Ghangaria - Hemkund Sahib - Ghangaria
Gurudwara Hemkund Shaib : This imposing star-shaped structure of stone and concrete masonry is one the shores of the lake. An outlet behind the Gurudwara is source of the Lakshman Ganga.
4Day 4 - Ghangariya to Pandukeshwar
After Breakfast,We start our journey from Ghangariya to Pandukeshwar, Check in Hotel. Overnight stay
5Day 5 - Pandukeshwar to Haridwar
After Breakfast, departure to Haridwar. Drop at Haridwar
